Our deep roots and history in Chiang Rai, give our visitors access to fascinating people and places that you would never hear about in popular tourist websites and booklets. You will get to discover a very different side of Thailand!

If you are going to be staying with us for longer than a few weeks, we strongly encourage you to use Treetop Country as a home base and to head off to other parts of the country in your spare time or on weekends. We have additional accommodation in Chiang Mai and our staff will assist you and provide you with any information that you may need for travel within the country, and upon request, our driver and tour guide will take you on day/weekend trips. While we believe that volunteering and living at Treetop Country is the most authentic and fulfilling way to experience the people and culture of Thailand, we also think it’s important for you to explore other areas of the country. We are dedicated to providing you with the most authentic and complete experience that Thailand has to offer, and we will ensure that you have all of the resources, connections and information necessary to achieve that goal!
