Being a family-run organization, you truly felt you were at home. The hospitality was incredible- home cooked meals, hot showers, and the most awesome living accommodations built by previous volunteers. It was great to be able to experience the local culture, away from all the tourists you find in the big cities (i.e. Chiang Mai) - everyone is so friendly.

I especially liked getting to know all the kids and teachers at the school I volunteered at. Not only was it fulfilling to teach the students, but it was so much fun to be able to play with them after class – soccer, tag, or, their personal favourite, just throwing them to the sky. The teachers, too, are truly appreciative you are there and take the time to get to know you. Overall, the staff, accommodation, co-volunteers, kids, and teachers all added to the unforgettable experience at Treetop. I would definitely go back again, this time for longer.
